Pondhead Conservation Trust manages the understory timber (hazel, silver birch, holly etc.) and rides (tracks) in Pondhead Inclosure under a 10 year license from the Forestry Commission (now Forestry England) dated 10 September 2014. Forestry England retain overall responsibility for the large standard oak and beech trees together with deer control including fencing.
As a condition of our license we produce a Woodland Management Plan which outlines the work we will be undertaking on an annual basis. This plan is reviewed regularly and may be revised from time to time if conditions/circumstances change.
To navigate around the plan, hover over it and click on the arrows on the bar at the bottom of the page. A summary of the plan by way of interactive map can be viewed by clicking here.
